about

"Mark Fosson is one of the best acoustic pickers since his hero
and mentor John Fahey."
-Pat McGuire FILTER

"Mighty fine...In our view, his best album yet."
- NORTH COUNTRY PRIMITIVE

"This album is a rich offering of well-balanced Americana folk
and one of the more refreshing releases for 2015."
-IRON POST BLOG

Following the release of his much-acclaimed "Lost Takoma Sessions" on Drag City, and "Digging In The Dust" on Tompkins Square, American Primitive guitarist Mark Fosson has recorded a new batch of tunes inspired by his memories of growing up in Kentucky.

Comprised mainly of 6 & 12 string solo guitar, “kY” also features two banjo pieces as well as one performed on mountain dulcimer. Recorded immediately as they were written, the songs retain a fresh, spontaneous feel and the simple but very melodic compositions stick in your mind long after the record is over. A must-have for acoustic music lovers!
